Omiš Summer Frei

Location: Various venues in Omiš
Summer Frei is a festival with many events for families, mostly completely free with no registrations or reservations required. There are options almost every day:
“History in Flip-Flops” on Mondays at 9 am – a 1-hour free and guided tour of city center of Omiš; “MoonScreen Cinema” on Mondays – blockbuster movies at 8:30 pm on the beach; “Sunscreen Aqua Aerobic” on Mondays and Thursdays – 30 min training in the sea at Punta beach; “Kids’ Beach Bucket” on Wednesdays – puppet shows, clowns, painting workshops, sports activities, educational games and much more for kids on afternoons on the beach; “Ice Cream a Cappella Nights” on Thursdays at 8 pm – traditional klapa music on multiple locations; “After Beach History” on Tuesdays at 7 or 8 pm – the story of local heroine Mila Gojsalić and Poljica republic in historical museum of Poljica; “Surfboard of Heritage” on 12 June at 8:30 pm – evenings of free folklore dance performances with traditional colorful costumes and melodies; “Postcards from the Past” on Fridays at 10 am – guided tours in City Museum about three historical writing systems that were used in these areas; “Pirates’ Treasure Tales” on Fridays at 7:30 pm – story of Omiš pirate history at Mirabela Fortress; “Summer Hats Hike” on Wednesdays at 8 am – 45 min climb to the fortress Fortica.
Festival of Dalmatian Klapa

Omiš Pirate Battle

Omiš Half Marathon

Location: Omiš Old Town and the Cetina River
Experience the thrill of running amidst breathtaking coastal vistas at the Omiš Half Marathon. Lace up your running shoes and join participants from around the world in this exhilarating race along the scenic routes of Omiš. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a beginner, you can choose between a 21-kilometer circular half-marathon and a 6-kilometer recreational race. The entry fee price depends on the date of application.
